 1-2-1 Mentoring

What is ADHD Mentoring?

Mentoring with me is an opportunity for you to understand what ADHD and/or autism mean to you.

Using my personal experience as well as the experiences of the hundreds of people I've worked with we work together to help you understand what ADHD means to you.

I offer insights, advice, and support based years of my own experiences as those of the other people I've helped.

My sessions are your time to empty everything that's on your mind about ADHD and to have someone with the experience, ability and understanding to help you focus on what's important.

My sessions can be paid individually or in blocks.

Each session costs £60.

Sessions are 1 hour long.

If booking a block of sessions and self funding Klarna is available to split the cost across 3 monthly payments.

You can also use your Access To Work funding for Mentoring with me.

Meet Matt Gupwell

Diagnosed with ADHD, autism (with a demand avoidant profile), and dyslexia in my mid 40s, I know first-hand what it’s like to discover a new language for your life at a time when you're supposed to already have it all figured out.

I’ve spent years working at the intersection of clinical insight, mentoring, and lived experience.

I co-direct Divergence Works CIC, co-host the TALKADHD podcast, and deliver neurodiversity training and consultancy for global brands, health services, and educational institutions.

But more than that — I’ve sat across from people like you and helped them unpack what a diagnosis means when it arrives decades later than it should’ve. I've been there, lived it and understand why this hits so hard.

My mentoring sessions are the result of everything I’ve learned, tested, refined, and lived. It’s not therapy. It's not coaching. It’s not fluff, or social media memes.

It’s support that makes sense — built for people who’ve lived enough life to know when something finally rings true.

Feeling Stuck on Your ADHD Journey?

Whether you’re:

  • Waiting months (or years) for an ADHD assessment,

  • Unsure if pursuing a formal diagnosis is the right path,

  • Stuck between diagnosis and titration,

  • Or even diagnosed and medicated but still not thriving…

…you’re not alone.

Here’s the Part Nobody Tells You

Before you decide if you need ADHD coaching, mentoring, or online programs, you need to stop and ask:

  • What do I actually need right now?

  • Am I ready for coaching or do I need mentoring, guidance, or structure first?

  • How do I know this person is credible?

  • How do I avoid wasting time and money on the wrong kind of support?

  • What are the questions I still have and can this person answer them?

  • What am I looking to achieve?

Most people never pause to ask these questions. They end up paying for support that doesn’t fit and blame themselves when it doesn’t work.

ADHD coaching and mentoring aren’t regulated.*

That means anyone can call themselves a coach, some without training, experience, or a clear understanding of ADHD beyond their own story.

For others, a short 2 – 6 week course is all the education they have about ADHD. **

The risk?

  • Cookie-cutter advice that doesn’t match your reality.

  • Psychobabble and pseudoscience are shared as facts that can cause more harm

  • Support that leaves you feeling more stuck.

  • Coaches without the experience, ability or supervision to know where their abilities are and when to point you towards someone else.

  • Time and money wasted on things that don’t move you forward.

I don’t want that for you.

* There are organisations that accredit coaching and ADHD coaching courses affiliated to them but there is no standard of good practice, ethics or minimum study to become an ADHD Coach.  There are no such associations for mentoring.

** There are good coaches out there, ones who’ve taken several years to learn what good coaching is and added in-depth knowledge of ADHD to that. But they’re few and far between and you need to know the right questions to ask before deciding.

I’ll even recommend those I would trust if you ask.

Why These Questions Matter

Right now it's a bit Wild West!

Who Am I to Say This?

I am a respected, Educator, Trainer, Advocate & Mentor who creates spaces for people to understand what their diagnosis means to them.

I'm Dad to two young adults both diagnosed with ADHD and autism and my wife is also dual diagnosed.

I co-direct a CiC that provides education and support to people just like you.

I mentor people worldwide through diagnosis, titration, and life after.

My work has supported global brands, NHS services, and thousands of individuals and helped millions who’ve seen me online.

I’ve spent over 16 years working with neurodivergent people, long before I was diagnosed as well as since.

I’ve asked these questions of myself, my peers, and the organisations I work with. And I want to give them to you—so you can make a confident, informed choice about your next step.

Ready to Stop Guessing and learn what the right questions are?

I’ve created a simple set of Questions to Ask Yourself (and Any ADHD Coach or Mentor) before you decide who to work with.

These are the exact questions that will help you:

  • Get clear on what support you really need,

  • Spot the difference between “shiny marketing” and real expertise,

  • Decide whether I (or anyone else) is the right fit for you.

👉 Scroll down, pop your email in, and I’ll send them straight to your inbox.
